Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo was named as the Best Southeast Asia Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) after earning the most number of votes in the region.
In its official Twitter account, the MTV Asia announced that the 26-year-old singer and actress won and she will move on to the next round of the competition vying for the win against BiBi Zhou (China & Hong Kong) and Hebe Tien (Taiwan).

The online vote is still on going until October 29 and fans can vote for Sarah Geronimo once again by visiting the official website of MTV Asia.
Among the three contenders, the act to earn the most number of votes will be representing the region in the Worldwide Act nominee against 9 other nominees from other regions.
The winner of the Worldwide Act will also be determined through online fan votes which will be announced at the MTV EMA Show on November 9 to be held at The SSE Hydro in Scotland.
