The first big screen team-up of Sarah Geronimo and Coco Martin is shaping up to become a blockbuster hit after it made P60 million in ticket sales only four days since it was first released in theaters.
The figure, which was announced on “ASAP” on Sunday, is P40 million higher compared to its recorded gross on its opening day.
At a loss for words, Geronimo received a bouquet of flowers from her “ASAP” family as she thanked all those who have already seen the movie.
"Maraming maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nanood ng ‘Maybe This Time’ on behalf of my leading man, Mr. Coco Martin, and the whole production team. Maraming maraming salamat po," she said.
On Saturday, Martin attended several block screenings of “Maybe This Time” which were organized by his supporters.
Still showing in over 180 theaters nationwide, “Maybe This Time” is a co-production of Star Cinema and Viva Films.
Written by Melai Monge and Anton Santamaria, the movie centers on former sweethearts Tonio (Martin) and Steph (Geronimo) as they cross paths again years after he left her without closure or an explanation.
Steph, who works in a PR firm, is tasked by her boss, Monica (Ruffa Gutierrez), to get Tonio a makeover in time for the opening of a new bar. Matters turn complicated when Steph learns that Tonio and Monica are in a relationship.
