If there’s one person Zanjoe Marudo looks up to when it comes to comedy, it’s seasoned funny man and host Vic Sotto.

Nakuha nila yung market na ganoon,” Zanjoe said at the press conference of “The Illegal Wife,” his new movie with Pokwang.
Zanjoe even posts photos of Vic’s noontime show, “Eat Bulaga” on Instagram.
Style and attitude
Zanjoe admires Vic’s comedic style and attitude.
“Yung pagiging relaxed na tao. Yung pelikula niya, kahit comedy laging may lessons. Lagi siyang mabuting tao. Pwede rin sa drama and comedy.”
Zanjoe adds that Vic was nice to him when they met at ABS-CBN’s Christmas special.
More to learn
“The Illegal Wife” director Tony Reyes shared that Zanjoe’s character in the movie has Vic and Joey de Leon’s style.
Sabi niya, yung character ko halong Joey de Leon and Vic Sotto raw. Kailangan ko raw laruin yung character,” Zanjoe explained.
Although he has been doing comedy movies and TV shows, Zanjoe knows he still has to learn more about the genre.

Less pressure
The pressure on Zanjoe is less, compared to the time he did the comedy “Bromance,” because he now has Pokwang for a co-star.
Zanjoe plays an amnesiac, who is led to believe by Clarise (Pokwang) that they are getting married.
