A 13-year-old from Las Piñas City turned all three chairs of “The Voice Kids” coaches in the reality show's Sunday episode.
Arianna Ocampo, who admitted that she avidly watched the first season of “The Voice,” left the coaches in awe with her soulful rendition of Ariana Grande’s “Tattooed Heart.”
Lea Salonga, who was the first one to turn her chair, praised Ocampo’s performance for its soul.
“Technically speaking, wala akong mahihingi. Talagang nasa tono, in rhythm, you were one with the band kapag kumakanta ka. There was just so much soul,” she said.
Bamboo then interrupted Salonga and noted that soul is actually falls under his genre.
“Kung napansin mo, naunang umikot ang dalawang coaches kasi pinapakinggan ko pa. May checklist ako eh. I was checking that in my head and you filled that up,” he said.
As for Sarah Geronimo, she told the 13-year-old hopeful that she knows how she feels. “Katulad mo, dumaan din ako sa ganitong proseso hanggang sa marami pang hard work at nakarating tayo ngayon sa The Voice of the Philippines. Halika nga dito, subukan mo nga dito,” she said, inviting Ocampo to sit on her chair.
“Alam mo one day, kapag tinuloy-tuloy mo yan, ikaw naman ang next na uupo diyan,” Geronimo continued.
But Ocampo seemed to have already made up her mind when she revealed that Paolo Onesa was her favorite finalist in the show’s first season. Onesa was among the last finalists in Bamboo’s “Kamp Kawayan.”
Ocampo then revealed that she wants Bamboo to mentor her.
Ocampo is Bamboo’s first recruit in the reality show’s Sunday episode.
