In an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (pep.ph), the 14-year-old star admitted that she felt pressured about her new project but she said that she is more excited.
“Opo siyempre, nape-pressure na kinakabahan, kung kaya ko bang gawin yung ginagawa niya [Maricel] doon, dahil sobrang galing niya. Pero mas excited po ako, kaysa sa kinakabahan,” she said.
Asked if what she feels when she heard that she will play the role of the lead star and since it will be her first lead starring role, Alexa Ilacad said that she was happy and at the same time she also felt nervous.
She said that she is glad because the management and ABS-CBN noticed them and for trusting them for very big project.
“And ‘ayun… masaya ako dahil napansin kami ng management and ng ABS-CBN. And they trust us enough na bigyan kami ng malaking project na ganoon,” she said.
According to her, she and Nash Aguas are looking up to the love teams of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo and Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla or dubbed as “KathNiel”.
Alexa Ilacad launched her first acting career in ABS-CBN as child star joining the casts of the comedy show “Goin Bulilit”. She bcame more famous when she appeared in the youth-oriented show “Luv U” and was paired to Nash Aguas.
