The 39-year-old former Miss World 1993 second runner-up portrays the role of Monica, the girlfriend of Coco Martin’s character Tonio.
“It’s a love triangle between me, Coco, and Sarah. I’m not Coco’s mother in the movie, not even Sarah’s aunt. I feel like a teenager,” Ruffa Gutierrez said in an interview with “Tapatan Ni Tunying” which is set to air this coming Thursday, May 29, 2014.
According to Ruffa Gutierrez, she is honored to be part of Star Cinema’s latest movie which held its star-studded premiere night on Tuesday, May 27, 2014.
“Two young superstars ang kasama ko, sino ang tatanggi? For me, it’s such an honor to be part of this film and napakahusay nilang pareho,” she said. “I’m just very lucky to work with a very talented actor that we immediately established a rapport, which can be seen on the big screen,” he added.
Maybe This Time which hits cinemas nationwide today, May 28, 2014 is written by Melai Monge and Anton Santamaria. The romantic-comedy movie is a co-production of Viva Films and Star Cinema which is directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng.
Maybe This Time features the story of Tonio (Coco Martin) and Steph (Sarah Geronimo) whose path cross again, years after he left her with leaving any reason nor closure.
Steph now works in a company owned by Tonio’s new girlfriend, Monica (Ruffa Gutierrez). Things get complicated after Steph learned that Monica and Tonio are now in a relationship.
