Kapamilya heartthrob Xian Lim still refused to confirm that he will portray the fictional superhero character of “Captain Barbell” but he is willing to accept it if ever it will be offered to him.

In his interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (pep.ph), the singer-actor said that there are fans who are excited for the project and some are making online votes if whether he fits the character.Asked if he is open to the possibility that he might play the character of iconic superhero, the 24-year-old model replied: “Oo naman, why not, of course tatanggapin ko” 

A lot of people gave negative reactions about his rumored portrayal and a lot also were happy about it. According to Xian Lim, he cannot please everyone but he is just grateful to his fans who keeps supporting him.

Xian Lim said on his previous interview that to play the character of “Captain Barbell”, is a dream come true for him and to every actor in the industry.

Renowned actors who previously play the role of the superhero include Bob Soler, Willie Sotelo, Dolphy, Edu Manzano, Bong Revilla and Richard Gutierrez.

‘Captain Barbell’ was created by the cartoonist and writer Mars Ravelo, who created also the famous fictional characters including Darna, Dyesebel and Lastikman.

Meanwhile, Xian Lim confirmed that he will be doing two movies with his onscreen partner and rumored girlfriend Kim Chiu. He will also do a TV series with former “Maria Mercedes” star Jessy Mendiola.
