As of posting, the 19-year-old singer-actor got the total 40% of the votes and next to him is Elmo Magalona, son of Master Rapper Francis Magalona who got 30% while Bamboo garnered 24% of votes, Christian Bautista got 5% while Mark bautista is the lowest with 1%.
Aside form Male Performer of the year, Daniel Padilla was also nominated for Love Team of the Year with Kathryn Bernardo and Teleserye of the Year for the hit defunct series “Got to Believe”. His family was also nominated for Family of the Year Award.
The Yahoo! Celebrity Awards or formerly known as OMG awards revealed the nominees at the launch party on June 4, 2014 at Amber Boniaicio Global City.
Yahoo! Celebrity awards is a yearly event held to honor the best TV personalities, TV programs, Radio stations including its DJ’s and even in sports.
The winners will be announced on June 18, 2014 at SM Mall of Asia Arena while the voting will be closed at exactly 12:oo noon on the same day.
Meanwhile, Daniel Padilla is currently busy shooting for his highly anticipated movie “She’s Dating the Gangster” with leading lady Kathryn Bernardo. The movie is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and will be released in theaters on July 16, 2014.
