Does Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista still want to court Kris Aquino? .. Watch Here!

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista was placed on the hot seat on Friday regarding the real story behind his relationship with television host and actress Kris Aquino.

On last night's Bandila, Bautista was asked a series of questions on the topic during the show's "Yes or No" segment and why the relationship abruptly came to an end last April.

Baustita was first grilled on whether the two were ever in a relationship.

He quickly answered yes but was clearly taken aback when host Karen Davila followed up with: "Mahal mo ba si Kris Aquino?"

The city mayor first laughed off the question and quipped that he will let the segment's allotted time to run out before answering yes or no.

But after seeing that the hosts were adamant in waiting for an answer, Bautista replied: "Oo."

The former actor was then prodded further on whether he would like to get back together with the actress or if he would ever court Aquino again, to which he answered "no" to both.

Bautista was also asked to explain on why the relationship ended, just roughly a week after Aquino confirmed being 'partners' with the city mayor.

"Yung mga anak ko siyempre. I love my children," he said.

Bautista has two children--Athena (18) and Harvey (10)--with long-time girlfriend Tates Gana.

It was earlier reported by entertainment writer Ricky Lo that Bautista's two kids were affected that their father was dating Aquino.

Lo also wrote that the kids thought of going abroad with their mother in relation to the issue.

Citing an unnamed source, Lo also said that Gana and Bausista "haven’t really broken up" during the time the news of the mayor's new relationship broke.

Kris reacts

Aquino, moments after the live interview ended, posted a rather cryptic quote on her official Instagram account. The short, blunt message read: "silence is better than bullshit."

Aquino, while not mentioning any name, also added the caption: "And that says it all..."

Aquino never directly addressed the issue on why the two decided to end the relationship.

Neither Aquino nor Bautista has also spoken on whether there is truth to reports that the actor-politician was still romantically involved with another woman when he started dating the TV host.
