The nominees for Yahoo! Celebrity Awards or formerly known as Yahoo OMG awards was revealed yesterday June 4, 2014 at Amber in Bonifacio Global City. This year, ten categories were added in the awards.
Yahoo! Philippines Celebrity awards is the annual event held to honor the best local celebrities and TV personalities and including the hit TV shows. The 18-year-old actress garnered 43% of votes while Kim Chiu got 21% , Sarah Geronimo received 16% of votes, Marian Rivera is close to Sarah Geronimo with 15% of votes while Megan Young got the lowest votes of 4%, as of posting.
Her onscreen partner and rumored boyfriend "Daniel Padilla" was nominated also for four times in different categories making him as the male celebrity with most number of nominations.
He was nominated as Male Performer of the Year, Love Team of the Year and Teleserye of the Year (Got to Believe) along with Kathryn Bernardo and Celebrity Family of the Year.
The winners this year will be announced on June 18, 2014 at SM Mall of Asia Arena and the voting will end on June 18, 2014 at exactly 12:00 noon. This year’s sponsor this is Yahoo! Philippines, McDonalds and PLDT Home Bro.
Meanwhile, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla is gearing up for their romantic-comedy film adaptation of best-selling novel “She’s Dating the Gangster”.
