Paul Jake Castillo and Kaye Abad
Kaye Abad finally broke her silence amid rumors that her previous relationship with former boyfriend, singer-actor Guji Lorenzana, overlapped with her current relationship with ex-“Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Paul Jake Castillo.
In an interview with “The Buzz” which aired on Sunday, Abad emphasized that she was never with Lorenzana and Castillo at the same time.
“Hindi po talaga. Actually it wasn’t planned at all. So 'yung iniisip ng iba na nag-overlap, hindi talaga. No, wala po,” she said.
It was only last May when Abad and Castillo publicly confirmed that they are already a couple.
“Actually natakot talaga ako. Ang hirap mag-take ng risk kasi magkaibigan [kami]. He’s one of my closest friends so kung hindi mag-work, mawawalan na ako ng boyfriend, mawawalan pa ako ng kaibigan,” Abad said.
Believing they can bring out the best in each other, Castillo said, “I found out na parang she could be my girlfriend naman.”
Meanwhile, the two revealed that they have been talking about settling down in the future as well.
“We are taking it to the next level that’s why from friends, we became lovers... I don’t know what kind of relationship people are in if they don’t see themselves getting married,” he said.
As for Abad, she said, “Pangmatagalan ito… Ita-try ko yung best ko na mag-work din yung relationship na ‘to para hindi na rin naman masayang yung taon ko.”
Prior to Abad, Castillo was in a relationship with actress Melissa Ricks.
