During the press conference for the series on Tuesday June 3, 2014, the wife of the late Fernando Poe Jr. said that she has been following the career of Bea Alonzo which includes her films and TV series.
“Isang karangalan na makasama ko si Bea sa project na ito. Matagal kong sinubaybayan ang kanyang pagsikat. Isa ako sa fans ni Bea sa kanyang mga teleserye noon at sa mga pelikula niya,” she told the reporters.
Asked if she agrees to pass her title to Bea Alonzo as “Movie Queen”, Susan Roces said that she has no right to say that because she thinks that there are a lot of celebrities carrying that title also.
Bea Alonzo also said that she still cannot believe that she is working with Susan Roces. She said that she kept on taking on taking pictures with her and she was also honored to share the screen with her.
The series also stars Paulo Avelino, Albert Martinez, Maricar Reyes, Anita Linda, Eddie Garcia, Dinna Bonnevie and Tonto Gutierrez.
“Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon”, directed by Jerome C. Pabucan and Trina Dayrit, is set to air on June 16, 2014 as part of ABS-CBN Primtime Bida after “Ikaw Lamang”.
