These were the words of coach Sarah Geronimo as she explained why she decided to turn for 12-year-old Mitz Tanguilan during the blind auditions of "The Voice Kids" which aired on Saturday.
Tanguilan, who hails from the province of Rizal, impressed all three judges with her rendition of Bryan Adam's "Heaven," earning her the second 3-chair turner of the night.
"Napakadaling pakinggan, You're not forcing yourself to sound like anybody else. Napakadali at ang sarap pakinggan. I think I can work with that," said coach Lea Salonga.
"Ito 'yung perfect example ng isang singer na alam niya yung instrumento niya at choice of song, 'yung konektado siya sa kanta," added coach Bamboo Manalac.
But Tanguilan, a self-confessed fan of Geronimo since she was a child, chose to go with her idol, who was all praise for the 12-year-old.
"Yan ang singing. Kailangan lang namnamin mo 'yung melody ng kanta, 'yung sarap. Na-experience ko 'yun habang nakatalikod ako pero pag harap ko at nakita kong gumagalaw ka, sobrang graceful ng galaw mo, sobrang konektado ang lahat," Geronimo said.
Asked by host Luis Manzano how it felt when her idol pressed her button and turned for her, Tanguilan admitted: "Sobrang sarap po sa pakiramadam. Para pong nanalo na ako."
