Kapuso actress-model Janine Gutierrez admitted that she was being nudged by her aunt, the “Maybe This Time” star Ruffa Gutierrez to join beauty contest.

In an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (pep.ph), the “Villa Quintana” star stands firm on her decision on not join any beauty pageants.

“Hindi ko po talaga balak sumali, wala talaga akong balak na sumali sa Binibining Pilipinas. Actually sinabihan na ako dati ni Tita Ruffa na parang sumali nga. Tiniweet niya ako. Nakakakilig lang kasi na pakiramdam niya, makakapasok ako sa ganung klase ng competition.So ayun, flattered lang ako pero wala po akong balak,” she said.
The 24-year-old actress said that her focus now is on her on showbiz career.
Janine Guitierrez shared that he has a lot of roles to portray including a mermaid like her mother, the actress Lotlot De Leon, who was part of the cast in the mermaid fantasy series “Dyesebel” starring Marian Rivera.
Meanwhile, Janie Gutierrez is currently busy for her drama series “Villa Quintana” which also stars Elmo Magalona. Aside from her soap, she is also hosting “Sunday All Stars”.
She also admitted that she still needs to improve herself in hosting and she looks up to her uncle Raymond Gutierrez in that field.
“And iyon, gusto ko din po talagang mag-improve sa hosting kasi parang si Mond di ba nakagawa siya ng career in hosting? He’s a really good host and ayun idol ko siya in that way,” she said.
