The 21-year-old Rhodora X actor shared that he was upset upon seeing the photo. This is the first time that he was dragged into controversy after he transferred from ABS-CBN to GMA-7.
Based upon the photo which leaked in social media, he was falsely identified kissing with unnamed guy in a bar fest. The controversial kissing photo was first uploaded on Facebook which later posted on the personal Twitter account of Martin del Rosario.
Martin del Rosario immediately issued a statement to deny controversy surrounding the photo he is linked. Thousands of his fans and supporters then came out to show support on him.
Some netizens earlier prove that his controversial kissing photo is a hoax. Others claimed that the picture is another hit from GMA’s rival network to spoil his career.
Martin del Rosario who last appeared on ABS-CBN via action-drama series Juan dela Cruz now stars on GMA’s top-rating primetime series, Rhodora X which premieres every week nights featuring Jennylyn Mercado, Mark Herras and Yasmien Kurdi.
“And more than that, sa isang lalaki pa, kaya confident ako. Pero kasi medyo nag-worry ako dahil kamukha ko talaga,” Marin del Rosario said in an interview with PEP.ph.
“Na to the point na pati sila Mama, ‘Mart, ano ba ‘to? Ikaw ba talaga ‘to?’ gumaganun sila. So, parang nag-worry ako nung makita ko yung picture, yun yung initial reaction ko,” he added.
