In an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (pep.ph), the 28-year-old star said that she wanted their relationship to be legal before they will live in the same house.
Though Katrina Halili and Kris Lawrence were not living together, their homes are still near to each other in New Manila, Quezon City.
According to her, the way she thinks changed when she became a mother and she wanted to be a role model to her daughter.
“Like ako, sabi ko, ayoko namang magka-boyfriend ang anak ko, ‘tapos ili-live-in niya. Ayoko. Gusto ko namang maging model sa anak ko, maging magandang impluwensiya sa anak ko,” she said.
Asked when she and the 31-year old artist are planning to marry, Katrina Halili said that their priority now is their child and they do not want to rush things because both of them are not yet ready.
She belives that there nuptial will happen in ‘right timing’ and when everything was already settled.
“E, hindi pa ready. Kapag ready na po kaming dalawa. At saka, kailangan munang ma-settle ang lahat. Hindi puwedeng kasal na agad, ‘di ba?,” she said.
Katrina Halili clarified also the issues that she is not pregnant with her second child.
