In an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (pep.ph), the 21-year-old actress admitted that someone is making her happy but they are not yet officially in a relationship since they are still in the getting-to-know each other stage.
“Masaya naman, mayroon namang nagpapasaya ng puso ko. Non-showbiz, pero hindi kami, ha. Ibig kong sabihin, napapasaya niya ang puso ko, but hindi kami. Hindi kami, hindi nanliligaw, hindi friend zone. Like ko siya, like niya ako, ganun Nasa getting-to-know stage pa lang kami,” she said.
According to her, she preferred to be in a relationship with a non-showbiz guy to avoid issues.
Jessy Mendiola was asked also bout her reactions about being compared to Chanel Olive Thomas, the girlfriend of her past admirer Jake Cuenca. Fans said that they have a lot of similarities especially in physical appearance.
Jessy Mendiola said that she is aware of the comparison but she did not agree to it. She said Chanel Olive Thomas is a model-like of type of person so they have a big difference.
She added that she is happy for Jake Cuenca and for her new girlfriend.
Meanwhile, Jessy Mendiola is preparing for her next movie project with John Lloyd Cruz, Gretchen Barretto and Richard Gomez. She will also have a television series with actor-heart throb Xian Lim.
